APPROACH

In my practice, I recognize bodywork (and touch itself!) as medicine for healing and transitions. Central to my approach is an ever expansive understanding of the body as a network and the application of modalities that assist its natural functions toward balance. I like to work alongside clients, facilitating experiences that support their sense of autonomy and power in their own healing processes.

During therapy sessions, I often encourage subtle breathwork or mindfulness to come into easeful transition from the rest of the day. This is followed by palpating the body tissues (i.e. muscle, fascia, and cerebrospinal fluid) to assess their quality— not whether they are good vs bad, but rather, what does the tissue actually feel like? Is it contracted/shortened, bumpy, supple, taught/overstretched, tender, boggy, hot or cold? These qualities can tell a lot about how we hold stress physically and emotionally. Curiously learning about and meeting with our stress patterns gives us information we can use to heal and regulate our bodies.

I hope we can work together to help you feel like your most aligned, connected, and abundant self!

Environmental sustainability is prioritized in my practice by using safe, toxin-free skin and
cleaning products and utilizing solar-powered laundering methods when possible.

A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.

Why IMBOLC?

IMBOLC | a traditional Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring on the 1st of February. This is the very dim and early stage of fruitful transition, halfway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Imbolc is also considered the feast day of Ireland’s beloved Brigid of Kildare, patronage of fire and light, birth and fertility, milk and abundance.

When I think of what draws me to this work, so much of it is about meeting folks where they’re at and seeing what kind of spaciousness and greater abundance we can rebirth through intention and nurturance.
